Dr. Paige Schultz is a North Carolina licensed psychologist specializing in forensic and clinical psychology. Dr. Schultz earned her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from the University of Denver, specializing in forensic assessment. Her doctoral training included a year-long APA-accredited internship on the forensic psychology track at Kerrville State Hospital, University of Texas San Antonio, where she gained extensive experience with forensic populations. 

 

Schultz joined the Office of Dr. Amy James in New Bern, NC in August 2022, initially completing her required post-doctoral residency under Dr. James’s supervision. During her residency and subsequent full-time employment, Dr. Schultz has provided a broad range of forensic evaluations including parental capacity, capital and non-capital sentencing mitigation, juvenile transfer, child custody, mental status at the time of the offense, competency/capacity, and general psychological assessments related to legal matters.

Dr. Schultz is regularly tendered and accepted as an expert in forensic psychology. She is committed to ongoing professional development, attending advanced trainings in forensic assessment, family law, ethical practice, and high-stakes sentencing evaluations. She continues to contribute to professional education, presenting at conferences and trainings on topics such as juvenile transfer hearings and parenting capacity evaluations.
